Wow...she is 4!

I can't believe Allison is four! She came in the world with such a bang and has brought us so much happiness and love. Her latest thing is to ask after anything you tell her, "for real?" It brings a smile to all of our faces, even when we start pulling some real crazy stuff she knows couldn't be real she still asks. She has been so excited to be having a birthday. When she woke up she asked, "I get to have my birthday ALL day long until I go to bed?" YEP. She came down the stairs and was so excited...

Her pile of presents. She had noticed this doll same dollhouse in the background of a picture of her friend Lydia in France and thought it looked like the coolest doll house. David was so excited to be out one Saturday morning with me and notice it sitting in a driveway at a yard sale. He yelled for me to stop and we "HAD TO GET IT" for Allison. He has been anticipating her getting this for weeks. (I think he secretly has wanted to play with the clickity-clack horse that makes sounds and carriage). Bridget loved getting in on the fun and playing with the dolls too.

If you asked Allison what she wanted she would say two things:
1. A scooter

2. A doll that matched David's that he got when Bridget was born but that had blue eyes like her. Lucky for us we knew you could get buy just one of the Bitty Twins.
So as David and Allison say, we now have brother and sister dolls (not twins)

Mid morning a fed ex package came from our dear friends Jeannie and Lisa.
They sent a fun game that made us laugh and laugh as we tried to put balls on the hands of a wiggly, dancing catepillar.

As we were eating lunch a knock on the door had more presents for her to open from Grandma and Grandpa Deskins. What a great day....presents every hour.

She quickly put on her fancy new shoes, headband, glasses, skirt and purse.

All day though, despite all the presents, we frequently were asked "When do we get to eat my princess cake?"

She asked me to make a princess cake with a purple dress and pink sparkly frosting. I immediately thought back to my own childhood when I had a doll cake. I couldn't find a doll, so my mom sent one she had (it had a rough ride here, she was cracked and her arm fell off...nothing some love and glue couldn't fix)

What a great day we had doing whatever our little princess desired.
