Old Sturbridge Village

We met some friends at Old Sturbridge Village on a free museum day...it was crazy! We had been to others that hadn't been so crowded, so we stayed for a couple of hours and decided it was something worth coming back to.

They watched this man make pots, mugs and vases, of course asking TONS of questions.

At the school house, we learned some lessons, had recess and tried our feet at walking with stilts.

We stopped to hear about all the plants in the garden learning which helped to cover up "puffs" and which two herbs made a nice warm drink with water.

We watched the cows

tried milking them one handed while eating a stick candy
(good thing it was a fake cow)

Tried making faces like cows

Toured some beautiful homes, the bank, the blacksmith and ended with a quick run around on the playground.
