cabin

A trip to Utah wouldn't be complete without the annual trip to the cabin nestled in the Sawtooth Mountains in Idaho. My poor dad suffered with all the women in the family and kids. It was so fun to have my great sister-in-law there and her fun kids. She was the star of the trip and drove all the kids up alone.
Bridget had fun helping us pack before taking off.

The kids loved the hammock

feeding the chipmunks out of their toes or hands

playing with their new head lamps

making crafts (one of them being tie died shirts)

but they loved the beach and lake! Allison loves to pose (Jen caught her many times)

Bridget loved the sand

or catching a snooze

We spent one day at Red fish and had a laugh as we rented paddleboats.
The kids figured out how to tie the rafts to the back and get a free ride. Then we tried going under this bridge. It must have been a sight seeing us all fall down horizontal as we barely made it under.

All the while Emily was trying to catch a fish. She finally got a huge one thanks to Jen underneath the boardwalk/bridge.

Jill,
It looks like you're having a blast with your family this summer!
How are you guys settling into life back east now? We miss you here but I'm sure you have lots of fun opportunities there. Are you still the primary president in your ward? I just got called as the primary secretary in Highlands ward. I must not have learned all my lessons the first time around with you in Columbia Ward. HA! It's so nice keeping up with your family through your blog!
