a very WET experience

Another rainy day we decided to accompany Aaron to Boston. He was heading to a give a talk at a conference and we were heading to the science museum. After dropping him off, the rain suddenly became a down pour and things started to get wet.

We found the Science Museum and went to find parking. It looked like a lot of other guests had decided to spend the rainy day inside, because of the 850 parking spots in the parking garage there weren't many left! We had to go to the top floor of the parking garage, of course uncovered. The only 5 spots we could find were in a lake in the far corner from the door!
I pulled in and we all unbuckled and looked out the windows. None of us dared open the door and get out. We had forgotten umbrellas, had worn tennis shoes or sandles in my case. I got out first to get the stroller. Instantly I considered getting back in and leaving. The water went up above my ankles. By the time I had the stroller out of the back and unfolded, my shirt was dripping and hair soaked. David and Allison jumped out and soaked their feet. We were laughing a lot as they all piled on the stroller and I ran us to the door to the elevator. We arrived in the lobby VERY wet and getting many crazy looks.

We enjoyed learning about dinosaurs, playing with a wall sized light bright.

Dressing up as a robin and sitting in a nest

Or finding honey and taking it back to the beehive

Brushing teeth, learning about bones and skeletons, seeing a electricity demonstration about lighting, learning about whales, and probability

and building with cool magnets.

After 4 1/2 hours, the kids had dried off,
but I was still wet!
