rainy day

With rain for a few days last week the kids wanted to try some science experiments. One of the questions they asked was, "do bubble work in the rain?" We went out and tried it. It was a steady drizzle and this is what we found...The bubbles were slow to pop, would sit in the trees or on the grass for many minutes.

They moved slow and went higher than we had seen. David was excited to see that they flew over the power lines.

They thought they were more colorful and more full of rainbows. They thought how they popped was different too. David observed that they collapsed and left behind a little sting or looked liked they caved in.
