Storyland

We took a quick weeekend to visit Storyland in New Hampshire. What a fun day we had! As we walked in the amusement park a nice lady asked David and Allison if they would like to help raise the flag. You would have thought it was the greatest thing that happened...until they walked around the corner and saw all the rides!

here it goes

Allison loved the Alice in Wonderland "teacups" ride.

Bridget found some rides she liked too

The rides were designed for children around stories and nursery rhymes. Float in a Swan is always thrilling!

It was a nice day and not too crowded.

David hiked up a hill to "Heidi's" house and had a nice visit with her goats.

Flying fish and a ride in a Dutch shoe are always great.

Our favorite was the Bamboo Chute (or log ride).
We went numerous times trying different seating arrangements to see which way we got the wettest.
Aaron and Bridget would patiently wait while we ran back in line over and over!

Then they hit the other water ride and got SOAKED!

A real pumpkin carriage ride to a castle...Allison was in heaven.
Then to see Cinderella in the castle. David's only question was "Where is the prince?" Her response was he is coming tonight for the ball. You better believe David had us go back right before closing (just as Cinderella and the prince were announcing closing) to see if they were dancing. We only found Cinderella in the castle and a few long faces.

A barn that spins and flies, does it get better...only if you can see the changing leaves.

What a fun day!
