Cape Cod

We made it! We were all so excited to see hedges in the shape of Cape Cod. We knew it was going to be a great week as we crossed the bridge.

Our first full day we started off with a trip to the beach. All David and Allison wanted to do was fly kites on the beach.

They were so excited they were singing all the way out to the car and to the beach. I think they need to watch Mary Poppins again to get more of the words down.

We went to a beach close to our hotel which was on the Nantucket Sound.

Bridget enjoyed the sun and wind, for awhile. The sand was so soft and fine.

Allison liked collecting shells and making piles of them.

The wind is getting a little rough.

Shells. They quickly became more exciting the flying the kite.

Deciding which shells to take home.

I loved sitting on the beaches and looking at the homes.

We ventured to see a lighthouse and some more beaches.
Unfortunately, this light house was closed for tours the day we stopped by.
We made up for it by stopping for homemade ice cream.
A stop for ice cream and a fun train to play in can make anything better.

For FHE we decided to go mini-golfing and take a ride on go-carts. I had a few issues with loosing the camera all day long. Aaron found the camera halfway through the golfing (after I had searched the car and stroller while he was riding the go-carts with the kids. Their face on the go-carts was priceless. It was just the one car going around a circle, but you would have thought it was the most amazing thing they had done!)

We couldn't stop laughing at Allison trying to hit the ball. She was struggling the entire time, but laughing so hard she would miss the ball even more.
