Crayola Factory

David has been wanting to go to the crayola factory for a few months now. It happened to be not too far off the beaten path as we made our way home.
It was a fun place, with every crayola item available to try and create with.

They stamped and painted books about dinosaurs,
then sent them through a big drying machine.

Tried color explosion markers and were amazed at the rainbow colors that were hidden under the black.

After seeing how crayons and markers are made,
we came out and got some of our own to take home.

We danced to music and made cool shapes, notice Bridget got in on the grooves in the top corner.

Aaron tried his hand at creating a new face for me.

The top floor was a canal museum. David and Allison had fun moving barges up a canal and seeing how locks open and shut moving water up and down to get the boats to the same level. We only wish we had more time to create and learn.

Of course we had to stop at the amazing crayola store, which has the world's largest crayon, Big Blue, all of 15 feet and 1500 lbs. There were so many great crayola things, now that I think of it the only thing I don't remember seeing is crayon salt and pepper shakers. Guess we have to go back and see if they have some.
