THE pajama party

David's birthday party was today. The long awaited day finally came. He has been planning this day for months. He knew exactly what he wanted to do and games to play. He wanted everyone to come in pajamas.
This is the card, designed by David. He is quite creative.

We started out doing Yoga, a favorite activity of David's. (I of course didn't do such a great job of getting pictures taken, that was forgotten in the midst of all that was going on, oops). Each child made their own personalized night light.
They were given a sheet of shrinky dink paper and colored either a child wearing pajamas or picture on it. They were baked and glued onto a special night light clip. They turned out really fun. This is David's completed night light. He wanted it to look like him with green "jammies" like his invitation.

We played musical sleeping bags, had an obstacle course through tents and tunnels, and played some relays, all dealing with sleeping or breakfast. Instead of cake, David wanted everyone to have a pile of pancakes with a candle in them and chocolate milk. David loved his singing candle that played Happy Birthday, thanks grandma.

All the kids got a bag with a pair of pajamas (that look like the ones Allison is modeling), their night light and a piece of cake on a stick. It is suppose to look like David in a green sleeping bag. If you can't tell, the theme was green and pajamas. We had a such a fun time!

Jen-Jen this photo is for you. David is modeling his praying mantis glasses he received as a gift. He knew you would love them as much as he does (so much he had to sleep with them!)

What a fun idea! I might have to do a girl version of that sometime. David's very creative...he must take after his mom!

Once again Jill you amaze me with your ideas and creativity. I aspire to be the mother you are, seriously! You are amazing in every way! What a fun party! I really love the green color, it's my favorite. I'm trying to think of what I'm going to do for Adalei's big birthday bash this year, we need to talk;).

How fun! Did you make the pajamas or find them somewhere to buy? Your parties always seem so fun!
