David's latest

Yesterday at church David stopped his little friend Ammon and proudly told him, "today I am going to be a Sunbeam". Ammon said, "well so am I". They then stood and compared ties, shirts and jackets and who looked the most like a Sunbeam and who was the most handsome. It was hysterical.

So today David comes home from preschool and is all imagination and ready to play. After we had lunch I quickly mopped the floor and this is what happened to the chairs while I was in the other room.

David made them into a train to take us away. I had to sit on the last chair, because all the invisible people got to sit at the front of the train. He took me on a ride to Disneyland, Legoland and to the jail. At one of our stops we are playing with little people and he comes up with this...

David: "Mom, let's say these two men are missionaries, (they are the workers at the wash and go garage) and are coming to your house. Here they are."
David rings the door bell on the toy house.
Me: open toy door "Hello, who are you?"
David: "We are missionaries here to share the gospel."
Me: "What church do you belong to?"
David: "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints."
Me: "Oh come in."
David: "Do you have a Book of Mormon?"
Me: "no, what is it?"
David: "A book about Jesus."

He then organizes all the people in the house to listen to the missionaries inside, then decides it is better to have them outside. This is what I caught.

***Note: I was thinking what a great mom I was and had taught David all these things. Come to find out, he just has a memory like an elephant. Aaron had told him a story the night before about missionaries, and he basically recounted it for me using the little people. At least he has a good memory.

So David is so cute. He is all ready to be a missionary. My Asher just talks about how he will go to church and run away from his teacher and then he sings the primary songs and he changes the words to say something like "Christmas Bells are pooping"
Yeah I know
