Emotions!

As we watched our car drive away and the moving truck leave we were bombarded with amazing friends that came to help and clean our house. I was flooded with emotions, I had been crying for the previous few days as reality was hitting and we were leaving. Before going to our hotel to meet our early plane we had dinner with many of our dear friends. As I look at these pictures they make me smile at the glimpses of these couples in conversation and laughter. Oh happy days! and oh how we miss them!!

All our kids were running around and playing. As we got ready to leave there were hugs and loves all over!

Clay and Bridget were born a few days apart.

Packing up

As our things were loaded we watched, we played and we sat and contemplated our last times in Washington. We couldn't leave because I locked the keys in the car, luckily Aaron came home before the man came to pick it up and take it across America.

David and Allison sat and loved holding Bridget as the chairs were packed and our seating became limited.

David loved helping the packers and running up and down the ramp from the house to the HUGE truck.

David and his cute friend were playing and came up to me to tell me they were amazing super heros. With their eye masks up they were themselves, but when they put them down they for sure were super heros that I couldn't even recognize, or so they thought. They were pretty sure I never would recognize them as they ran around saving their sisters.

quick trip to Seattle

We finally made a dream of Aaron's come true. The Science Fiction Museum. Too bad his son can't get his fingers to stay together and be a true trekkie. Hopefully he will still live long and prosper.

Kindergarten

David started kindergarten last week. He was so excited. We had been debating to put him in for the 12 school days we would be here. He ultimately made the decision when he saw a back to school flier and knew it was going on. He convinced me by saying, "it will help you mom, I won't be running around and screaming while you are trying to get things packed. It will be easier this way." So he goes every morning with his good friend Emma. He loves it and loves knowing about half the class from church or preschool. I'm trying not to worry about next week when he starts a new school and doesn't know anyone.
His sister are both missing him like crazy!

David and Allison were in desperate need of haircuts! With the start of school what a fun time to try a little beauty shop just for kids. They loved it!

Allison thought it was the greatest because they put sparkles in her hair when they finished. She felt just like a princess she said.

slip n'slide

Warm summer days call for a hill and a slip n' slide. David and Allison spent hours every few days trying various ways to slide down. When we got back from Massachusetts they had me sit at the end of the slide and watch them as they showed me the back, bottom, stomach, side and knee slides.

I loved their faces splashing through the water the best!

a break

After a few days of searching for houses we came back to see David and Allison. They had had such a good time with grandparents I don't know if they really wanted to see us though! They had us laughing and loving being back together immediately! We took a break and went down to Temple Square (after Aaron and I had gone to the Oquirrh Mountain Temple Dedication and they had canceled all church services in Utah. So the kids were a bit disappointed that they didn't get to go to primary) After walking around and taking a tour, David and Allison had to sit and take a break. David started telling us about being David Danger Deskins with no hands could do anything.

Allison just sat and enjoyed the flowers!

Party #1 and #2

I can't believe it has been three years since our sweet Allison joined our family. She is constantly bringing smiles to our faces and saying the cutest things. We were able to celebrate her birthday with family while we were traveling and have a birthday bash with them. (She some how she talked us in to having another party when we returned.)

Party #2: Polka Dot party

Decorating hats with dots and stickers.

Musical dots, connect the dots (Bingo), and bean bag toss.

Cupcakes are round and with dippin' dots ice cream who can go wrong? When the pinata went crashing down so did the kids. Arms were flying as all the candy in the pinata quickly disappeared into bags.

it's been awhile

We have been tired!

We have had a few birthdays, traveled a few thousand miles and back, found a house, played with family and friends. Bridget made four plane rides before she was a month old and here are a few photos to prove it.
